Selfishness-Pure Evil
Selfishness-Pure Evil
Ecclesiastes 11:1-10 speaks directly to the Worldly man. It talks about our unwillingness in times of hardship to withdraw from the congregation and withhold our personal good fortune from those who aren't as fortunate.
As I prayed this morning, I thought about all the 'bad luck' I have had along the way. I thanked God that He delivered me from those horrible conditions and all my hardships.I began to think of all the people in this world who have not found a comforting hand, whom the 'lucky' have cast aside and trampled upon over and over again.
Selfishness is one of the most aprehensible traits that a human being could have. To cause needless suffering and heartache to another is pure Evil.
The Lord told me today that even though I have only a little, that I should share with those who are less fortunate than I. Every one of us should do an "upstairs closet" review of ourselves on a daily basis (our conscious) and take a look at how we really have been acting.
It's one thing to pray, praise and worship and thank our Lord...it's a totally different story to ignore the messages that he sends by the way of lifes trials and tribulations. Remember, great Kings have been brought to ruin simply by selfishness and greed! Take into consideration your personal situation and how easy it would be to lose it all in this world today.
Do something kind for someone. Buy someone dinner, volunteer your time to soup kitches, food pantries and nursing homes. Never forget to be humble and kind.
